Dr. Robert D. Stein, Founder

Dr. Stein is a co-founder of Live Longer Live Well, LLC.  He specializes in Clinical Applied Kinesiology and Chiropractic Biophysics.  Dr. Stein started his academic career with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia.  Dr. Stein advanced his education by crossing over into anti-aging medicine. He has earned a Diplomat in Anti-Aging, a Fellowship in Regenerative Medicine and a Fellowship in Functional Medicine and is currently enrolled in a Masters in Endocrinology program at the University of South Florida Medical School.

Dr. Stein has been in private practice for 22 years in South Florida and treats approximately 5000 patients annually.  Dr. Stein has always been passionate about helping his patients improve their overall health and quality of life.  His passion led him to develop the Live Longer Live Well program which enables physicians and wellness professionals of all types to help their patients lose weight, prevent diabetes and heart disease, identify at-risk organs and recapture youth.   The program uses advanced analytical processes to identify a patient’s biochemical type, organ and gland wellness and bio-identical hormone replacement needs.  Since its recent completion, over 1,000 patients have experienced the Live Longer Live Well (L3W) system with significant results.

Dr. Stein uses his vast knowledge and excellent teaching skills to train and mentor medical doctors, chiropractors, naturopaths and other licensed healthcare practitioners in the science and art of using the L3W System, including Functional Endocrinology, Functional Nutrition and Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement.

Dr. Stein’s mission is to continue advancing wellness science and teach the world how to improve life quality, life expectancy, and overall health.


Roy L. Gerber, Ph.D., Founder

Dr. Gerber, co-founder of Live Longer Live Well, and developer of the Live Longer Live Well software system, holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University, with emphasis on Physiology and Neurophysiology.  He works within the broad overlap between medical, biological and software disciplines and has for many years.  He has served in a variety of roles including Chief Technology Officer, Vice President Software Development, Chief Scientist, Development Manager and Researcher.

While working on his B.S. in Biological Sciences from Santa Clara University, where he graduated with high honors, he worked with NASA participating in many exercise physiology studies, including measurements of metabolic rate and blood flow to study the effects of weightlessness and High G acceleration on human performance and the optimal design of space suit liners for removing excess body heat in space. In addition to conducting experiments for the studies, he built on-line monitoring and analytics software to help interpret and understand the results in real-time.

During his doctoral studies, working with NASA and Stanford University, Dr. Gerber researched physiological, developmental, behavioral and central nervous control of metabolism and other factors affecting the regulation of body temperature and energy consumption. He designed and performed the experiments and constructed the software to manage, interpret and report the results.

After completing his doctorate, Dr. Gerber designed and built several medical systems. For Bristol Myers, he designed and built an FDA-approved laboratory management system used to direct testing for viruses including HIV, Hepatitis and others. The system has been used to process millions of patient samples.

Dr. Gerber worked closely with blood center tissue typing laboratories that perform organ donor tissue matching and designed a system to manage transplant candidate testing and analysis. The product was commercialized and made available to laboratories throughout the U.S.

Applying his vast experience in advanced technology systems to his current role with Live Longer Live Well, Dr. Gerber is focused on delivering the best possible results for doctors and their patients who follow the L3W Wellness System. He devises and enhances the analytical processes of biochemical typing, organ and gland wellness, bio-identical hormone replacement and all associated web-based software, including its mini-EMR and patient reports.

Since 2003, Dr. Gerber has served on the board of the School of Computing and Information Sciences Industry Advisory Board (SCIS-IAB) for Florida International University in Miami and as Vice Chairman of the Board since 2010. The board helps guide curriculum programs, fund raising, research, Center of Excellence development and establishing of regional goals with other members from IBM, Citrix, Motorola, Siemens, Microsoft, Lennar and others.  He has published 19 scientific and technical publications and presentations.

Douglas Caporrino, CNS, NASM, NFPT, Wellness Expert, Principal

Doug has worked in the Wellness industry for over 30 years. He has worked with many of Hollywood’s fittest people from the likes of John Travolta, Sylvester Stallone, Tony Goldwyn and Mariah Carey. He was the “Fitness & Nutrition Consultant” to “The Joan Rivers Show” and “Live with Regis and Kathy” for years.

Doug draws not only on his great academic background as a nutritionist and biochemist but also his true life experiences as an active Tri-Athlete and Ironman competitor.
From a corporate standpoint, Doug has worked with such clients as Johnson & Johnson, Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sacks, and Willis Insurance to help bring wellness into the office place.

Doug has over 400 published articles and has appeared in over a dozen fitness commercials. His RTR monthly audio magazine is now heard on every continent.

His magazine “Chiropractic Wellness” goes out to over 5 million readers monthly.

Carrie Carda, M.D., Medical Director

Dr. Carda is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is Board Certified by the American Academy of Anti-Aging and holds a Fellowship of Anti-aging, Regenerative, and Functional Medicine and an Advanced Fellowship in Anti-aging, Regenerative, and Functional Medicine and is Director of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Anesthesia for the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.  She also holds a Masters in Medical Science-emphasis in Metabolic Medicine & Nutrition from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in Tampa.

Dr. Carda has many years experience applying wellness and weight loss methodologies to her patients. With her vast experience in Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), she has been instrumental in the development of our latest evolution of the Live Longer Live Well program – the Automated Hormone System (AHS).  This groundbreaking system helps tune the behavior of and give patients a safe and effective hormone replacement treatment program.  It enables us to now offer our L3W providers a simple, effective hormone replacement program tailored to the body type and maturity level of each patient.

Charles Bonanno, PharmD., M.B.A., C.G.P., Medical Board Member
Dr. Bonanno is our Director of Pharmaceutical Compounding and provides guidance and training for our bio-identical hormone therapy (BHRT) programs. Dr. Bonanno received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Pharmacy from LIU Schwartz College of Pharmacy in Brooklyn, New York.  Years later, he received his M.B.A. from Nova University, and proceeded to enroll Nova Southeastern University’s College of Pharmacy in Davie, Florida where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.

Prior to pursuing his graduate degrees, he was pharmacy manager for the Walgreen’s Pharmacy Company for approximately 10 years.  Upon completion of his degrees, he was hired by the Target stores to recruit and open pharmacies in various locations nationwide.

After completing his PharmD, he became a Clinical Specialist for the Miami VA Ambulatory Care Center in Oakland Park, Florida.  In 2005, he received his board certification in Geriatric Pharmacy.  In 2006, he became Pharmacy Operations Manager for Pharmerica – a Long-Term Care Pharmacy service provider.  Later, he was asked to join the Vista Coventry Health Plan in order to develop and streamline the formulary process and become the Secretary of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.  Later, after careful consideration, he instituted and created the SimfaRose Pharmaceutical Specialty practice where he is currently the Pharmacy Manager and offers his clinical services to various patient populations.  His interest in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy escalated upon the completion of his compounding training from Professional Compounding Centers of America.
